Intervention in Failing Licenses: The Commission is empowered to exercise interventions in failing licensees notwithstanding anything contained in any written law and the memorandum and articles of association of the licensee company:Ħ. Disaggregation of Distribution Licenses: The Commission is empowered to disaggregate the DisCo activities into separate distribution and supply activities and to issue a directive for the disaggregation of distribution licenses accordingly. Regulatory oversight for mini-grids and IEDN, IETN (Independent Electricity Distribution/Transmission Networks) is vested in the states except where the state has no legal and institutional framework for the regulation of mini-grids IEDN/IEDN, or IETN/IETN or related electricity services of the mini-grids IEDN, or IETN or related electricity services relies on any part of the national grid for its operations.ģ.
